Book Review: Abbadon's Gate
Abaddon's Gate James S. A. Corey (pen name) Science fiction Short version: same as the first. Long version: same as the second, except no space zombies. Series summary: Firefly meets Aliens.
No argument. I appreciate originality in my fiction, but it's not the only--or even the chief--literary virtue. Within their limitations, the books tell a good story. THAT is the sine qua non of fiction.
Firefly meets Aliens is an apt description. And I liked both of them. As you mentioned, it is good comfort food. There should be more like it.
